About Dr James Pang

Dr James Pang is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Gosford Private Hospital and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. He’s also a staff specialist gastroenterologist at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. Having graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006, he completed his advanced training at St George and Campbelltown Hospitals. After obtaining his Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, he underwent further training in Hong Kong, focusing on viral hepatitis and non-alcohol fatty liver disease. He is a conjoint lecturer in Medicine at the Western Sydney University, and is currently completing a Masters in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) through the University of Sydney. Dr Pang has a special interest in bowel cancer screening and the management of complex gastrointestinal and liver conditions, and has published work on fatty liver disease, Hepatitis B and C. He is accredited for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
