Associate Professor Harsha was born in Sri Lanka and moved to Tasmania (1974) and then to Perth (1980).

He went to high school in Perth and is a graduate of the University of Western Australia. He began surgical training in 1993 and was made a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2001.

He undertook post-fellowship training in Perth and then in Leeds (UK), in liver and kidney transplantation as well as bariatric surgery.

He is currently a trainer for the Royal Australasian College of surgeons and Associate Professor for Notre Dame University (Fremantle). He understands that there is more to surgery than just technical skills and hopefully that will become apparent to you when you meet him.
