About Dr Hans Seltenreich

Profile: Hans completed his medical training and gastroenterology degree at the University of Padua (Italy) and the University of Heidelberg (Germany). He worked for 5 years as a consultant gastroenterologist in Switzerland before relocating to Australia in 2007. He worked at Nambour General Hospital as a consultant gastroenterologist and director of gastroenterological services until 2014. During his 7 years at Nambour General Hospital he built up the gastroenterology department, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality services to patients. One of his most rewarding achievements was the planning and implementation of the state of the art endoscopy suites at the public hospital.He is dedicated to the delivery of high quality services to patients and has proudly opened a gastroenterology center of excellence called Coastal Digestive Health in Maroochydore. Hans is fully accredited by the Conjoint Committee of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) as an interventional gastroenterologist.He has a key interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as well as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and together with the other health care professionals at Coastal Digestive Health has developed a first class gastroenterology service on the Sunshine Coast.He has recently established a research center and in collaboration with the Sunshine Coast University offers new treatment options, in the way of clinical trials, to patients.
