Profile: Dr Morgan is one of Sydney’s most experienced Head & Neck Surgeons, with more than 20 years’ experience as a consultant. He has degrees in medicine and dentistry, and specialist training and qualifications in general surgery, oral & maxillofacial surgery and head & neck surgery. He has trained and worked in Sydney, Melbourne, regional Australia, in parts of the UK and in New York.Dr Morgan has limited his practice entirely to head & neck surgery for more than a decade, although for years prior was on the general and trauma rosters at Westmead Hospital. His consultant practice has served the people of Western Sydney exclusively, including years as a VMO at Blacktown Hospital.Dr Morgan’s has been a member and lead clinician of the Head & Neck Cancer MDT since 1996, as well as the founder of the Thyroid Cancer MDT, both in the CPM Cancer Care Centre at Westmead Hospital. His association with Westmead Private Hospital has been since the Hospital opened, and he has served on the Medical Advisory Committee and the Clinical Review Committee.Dr Morgan has been Head of Department, General Surgery and Supervisor of Training at Westmead Hospital, and has only recently resigned as Clinical Director, Division of Surgery & Anaesthetics after a six year stint. He remains Head of Department, Surgical Oncology/ Head & Neck Surgery, and part-time senior staff specialist.
