About Dr Fiona Langdon
Dr Langdon graduated from medical school with Honours from the University of Western Australia. Prior to commencement of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology she worked in a variety of medical specialities giving her a broad knowledge of complex medical conditions and the influence pregnancy can have on them.
Her 6 years of specialist training was primarily undertaken at King Edward Memorial Hospital, a high-risk tertiary obstetric hospital delivering the sickest women and babies in Western Australia.
She undertook an 18 month fellowship with the world renowned “Gold” Maternal Fetal Medicine team at King Edward Memorial Hospital. This gave her the opportunity to manage high risk, complicated pregnancies as well as develop proficiency in obstetric ultrasound. As part of this job she also worked with the Pre-term Birth Prevention Clinic and is well equipped to manage women at high risk of premature delivery.
Dr Langdon has also undertaken a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility under the supervision of Professor Roger Hart and Dr Tamara Hunter at Fertility Specialists of Western Australia. She has completed postgraduate studies in this area and has a Masters of Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales. Dr Langdon’s fertility and reproductive medicine practice is through Fertility Specialists of Western Australia located at Bethesda Hospital in Claremont.
Dr Langdon grew up in Perth and is a mother to two primary school aged boys and remembers the absolute joy their birth brought to her and her family. She aims to bring a personal touch to each woman’s pregnancy allowing them to have a safe but woman-centred approach to birth and delivery.
Dr Langdon specialises in all aspects of pregnancy care and has a special interest in high risk pregnancies, particularly women with medical conditions that may be impacted by pregnancy. She feels it is an absolute privilege to care for a woman and her family during such an exciting and emotional journey as pregnancy.
