About Dr David William Gronow

Dr Gronow commenced a private Multidisciplinary Pain Centre in 1980 in the Sydney CBD. These services expanded to the commencement of an inpatient cognitive behavioural program at Ryde in 1989. In 1996 the Sydney Pain Management Centre moved to Parramatta where a full range of paint management services are provided. These include interventional therapies, medical services, individual and group CBT programs, injury management and vocational assessments. Each patient has an individual treatment program to meet their needs and requirements through patient involved planning sessions and case conferencing. Since 1999 Dr Gronow is Director of Multidisciplinary Pain Services at Westmead Hospital._x000D_ Recently the Sydney Pain Management Centre has expanded its services at Sydney Adventist Hospital and now provides full multidisciplinary assessments and management, including interventional therapies._x000D_ Dr Gronow is the President of the Australian Pain Relief Association, and Past President of Australian Pain Society and Kuring-gai Medical Association. Dr Gronow's research interests include: Clinical trials on new drugs for neuropathic pain; Use of opiates in chronic pain; Efficacy of interventional treatments; and Multidisciplinary pain management.
