Originally a General Practitioner, David has been working as a Palliative Care Physician for more than 25 years, for most of this time as the Medical Director of Ballarat Hospice Care and as the Clinical Director of the Grampians Regional Palliative Care Service.

He is now living and working in the Geelong area and works at St John of God and in home care on the Bellarine Peninsula. His main interest is in patient care, but he also works for the development of palliative care in the Asia-Pacific and enjoys teaching.

He is a life member and current Board Member of Palliative Care Victoria and has been awarded the OAM for his work.
