About Dr Cyril Tsan
After graduating in 1996, I spent the next 2 years as a Resident Medical Officer at The Western Hospital before moving to Monash Medical Centre for general surgical training., , , In 2001, I taught at Monash University as an Anatomy demonstrator for one year to consolidate a solid background in human anatomy. I then spent another year working on a sentinel node biopsy project in breast cancer with Associate Professor M Henderson at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (now VCCC – Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre)., , , I started my 4 year advanced surgical training in 2004 and developed an intense interest in Breast and Endocrine, embarking on post fellowship training at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide. I then completed a CCPU course in 2009 which enables me to use ultrasound in my rooms to provide real time assessment of breast and thyroid masses. I can also provide fine needle aspiration biopsy if necessary at the time of consultation.
