Dr Con Glezos is a fellowship trained Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon on Sydney's North Shore. He is the Director of Trauma Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital and also operates at the Sydney Adventist, North Shore Private and Ryde (Public) Hospitals._x000D_ Dr Glezos has particular expertise in knee and hip joint replacement, revision joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic knee reconstruction, as well as surgery of the wrist and hand. He has extensive experience in the emergency surgical management of limb trauma and fractures, including sports and workplace injuries._x000D_ Having completed medical training at Sydney University in 2001 and Fellowship Examinations in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011, Dr Glezos undertook 12 months post-fellowship subspecialty training in hand surgery followed by a further 12 months subspecialty training in hip & knee arthroplasty, and arthroscopic knee reconstruction. Dr Glezos has since undertaken clinical visitations to internationally renowned high-volume joint replacement centres and continues to remain at the forefront of new technologies and techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery._x000D_ Dr Glezos is active in Orthopaedic research, having presented at both Australian and international meetings and having numerous publications in international peer reviewed journals. He is an Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) course instructor and a speaker for the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth (P.A.R.T.Y.) program. Dr Glezos continues to teach nurses, physiotherapists, medical students, junior doctors and training Orthopaedic and Emergency Specialists. He also provides continuing medical education to doctors in General Practice and has participated in Orthopaedic Outreach trips to neighbouring Pacific nations including Fiji and Tonga._x000D_ Dr Glezos holds Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA) and is a member of numerous professional bodies including the Australian Medical Association, Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Australasian Trauma Society, Australian Hand Surgery Society, Academy of Surgical Educators, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
