About Dr Chester Kent
MBBS, FRANZCOG
Dr Kent graduated from the University of NSW in 1977. He completed his specialty training at The Women's Hospital in Crown Street, Sydney, being the last registrar to complete MRACOG before the hospital closed in 1983. Following this, Dr Kent became a Lecturer in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Aberdeen University, and Senior Registrar at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, in Scotland. He returned to Australia in 1985 and became an accredited specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Sydney Adventist Hospital, and has had appointments at King George V Hospital, Sydney Hospital and Manly Hospital. Dr Kent remains on the staff of Mona Vale Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital. Dr Kent was involved in research studying fetal growth in pregnancies complicated by diabetes and growth restriction using MRI. He is now a member of AGES (Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society), AAVIS (Association of Ambulatory Vaginal & Incontinence Surgeons), and ASCCP (Australian Society of Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology).
