I was unfortunately referred to see Caroline Meyer over a year ago to help diagnose potential hyperaldosteronism. I found Caroline to be lazy, blunt and uninterested. Despite having multiple grossly abnormal blood tests Caroline discharged me after one normal test which is well known to be unreliable in terms of diagnosis. Upon directions from my Cardiologist I was hesitantly re-referred to Caroline Meyer this week, as perhaps not surprisingly, I still have grossly abnormal blood tests suggestive of hyperaldosteronism. Caroline left a very rude message on my voicemail stating that she didn’t think I needed to be followed up again, a conversation she really should have had the courtesy of having with my referring Cardiologist. I honestly feel that at this stage of your career if you genuinely hate your job or even worse, just hate patients then perhaps it is time to retire.
