Caroline has been a rural GP for 20 years and is now transitioning to Brighton Medical Clinic. As a fellow of the RACGP and ACRRM, Caroline practises a broad range of general practice and has a number of special interests including: paediatrics, women’s health, pain management, and surgical procedures. Caroline has extensive teaching experience as a medical educator for junior doctors and she continues to be an examiner for the RACGP. Her outside interests are skiing, fair-weather sailing, tennis and travelling.
Specialty description
General practitioner treats patients of all ages from newborn babies to elderly people. GP have an important role to play in the management of acute care, chronic diseases and the treatment of patients with multiple health conditions. General practitioner (GP) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. Another important part of the work of a GP is preventative medicine and health promotion, include child immunisation and lifestyle modification.
