• 20.09.2022Extremely terrible and traumatising anaesthetic experience with disgraceful surgical outcome. Woke in operating room very unwell, twisted and contorted with horrific memories, absence of documented vital signs of approximately 40 ish minutes whilst in OT. Emergency 2 days later with many unexplained abnormal findings including left hydropneumothorax, slightly elevated troponin, very elevated lfts, substernal stranding also in right armpit plus many more AND ongoing scan findings, scarring bilateral borders of sternum, more so right side, scarring pec sternal notch 4 and 5. NO EXPLANATION. What happened to me? The suffering from this day is unbearable. Droperidol part of induction. Unusually brief anaesthetic for a big operation with a great deal of fluid administration. Input from The Royal Melbourne Hospital, possible dystonic reaction to droperidol and never have droperidol, clonidine again (lifelong), also querying “Vozod” and 3 litres of fluid for procedure. No explanation from anaesthetist. I have been crooked since this dreadful, disastrous day. I went into surgery with a square chest, extremely athletic and came out with a crooked one. Chronic pain and breast deformity. Multiple reconstructive procedures with some small improvements but left ribcage is twistedI. In rehabilitation now. Now on a lot of medication.

• 15.11.2023Update on horrendous anaesthetic and outcome. Left with chronic pain and breast distortion, new finding large tear in right inner sternum, surgical photos available. Royal Melbourne hospital suspicious re horrific anaesthetic, many typical malignant hyperthermia features which dr Lashansky knew but neglected to tell me the truth. My story is one of sheer terror. Just tested positive to MALIGNANT HYPERTHERMIA VIA MUSCLE BIOPSY. I know I suffered terribly with MH crisis which was reversed but I’ve been left with an enormous amount of permanent damage. No alert placed on my file, no follow up. Ran and hid! Dangerous, dangerous dangerous!

• 07.12.202320:01:2017 I had a breast reduction performed by a notorious surgeon and dr Bryan Lashansky was the anaesthetist. Surgery was very abnormally brief, I woke very very unwell, missing observations other gaps in data and omissions in my file. I know I had an intraoperative crisis!!!! Went to emergency 2 days later with chest and back pain plus plus, snapping in right chest, not surgical pain. Many abnormal findings and no investigation. Just found out I infact had a metabolic crisis that was covered up. I have tested positive to Malignant hyperthermia. Urgent testing done based upon this disastrous day of what was like a planecrash. Dr Lashansky withheld the truth from me and let me remain at risk for future reconstructive procedures. AVOID THE PRIVATE SYSTEM, ITS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY ZERO SCRUTINY AND ACCOUNTABILITY!!!! PRACTITIONERS GET AWAY WITH MURDER!!!! DANGEROUS DANGEROUS DANGEROUS ANAESTHETIST. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!! If I were in the public system my anaesthetic would have been reversed immediately, alert placed on files, scrutinised by up to 30 anaesthetists and then tested, surgery rescheduled with a safe anaesthetic for me! Instead I have been mutilated and left with permanent damage!
