Dr Blair Wood (MBChB, FRACP, FNZDS) completed his basic medical training at the University of Auckland School of Medicine. Following working in internal medicine, he underwent specialised dermatology training at Waikato Hospital, Auckland Hospital and in the United Kingdom. As well as working with Dr McKerrow, Dr Wood is a consultant dermatologist at North Shore Hospital where he is a Director. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow the New Zealand Dermatology Society.
Dermatologists are highly trained doctors and experts in the diagnosis and management of all skin, hair and nail disorders in patients of all ages. This includes common presentations such as skin cancer and skin checks, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, itchy skin, rashes, ageing skin and other cosmetic problems. Dermatologists are amongst world leaders in the development of laser and cosmetic skin treatments.
