Inarguably technically excellent, considered by some to be one of Australia’s best. Subpar communication skills – did not encourage questions and answered any with clipped responses. I was inadequately informed. The communication skill of a clinician at cancer diagnosis and treatment is crucial and with this he disappoints.

His remote demeanour discouraged me from asking questions and pushing him for more information if he deigned to answer my query. I was rattled by this and my one appt made my doubt myself. I went back to my GP and got a referral to a breast cancer surgeon, one of the stars in Sydney, who was a much better communicator and made me feel confident about them and my own judgment.
