• 29.12.2020Doctor Ong, I am terrified of the procedure you did to my daughter, a piece of pancreas has been taken mistaken from a polyp, this is disgraceful. My daughter is now in hospital and we don’t know how long she will take to recover. While you are on holidays her young family and all of us are suffering because of your horrendous mistake.

• 23.03.2022Dr. Ong is a conscientious doctor, well trained and highly skilled surgeon, amazing and I couldn’t express my awe and happiness with the care and result of the procedure he has done to me.
Has a good heart in a sense that he aims at elevating the health standards of patients, he keeps on seeking answers to rare symptoms and illnesses, very dedicated that he sometimes sacrifices his personal time just to make sure his patients are doing well.
I came to see him when I started having complex medical issues and rare disease, and I couldn’t thank him enough for the sacrifices he has done to make me in good shape and am not anxious anymore of what is happening to me.
What makes him exemplary is his gifted skill, and high tech gadget in his clinic, what a huge relief when he was draining a massive infection on my breast, he did the procedure with precision, no glands and ducts was hit thus I didnt get nipple exudate and pain, I was able to work after the procedure.
When he operated my huge lump on my breast I prepared my self to be disfigured , and how amazing ! that he reconstructed my breast very well.
I want to point out also that Doctor Ong is very dedicated in saving lives, as I said I have complex issues and he saw that urgent need to operate on me, he added me on his list ,meaning he sacrificed and extended his energy , although it is already 8 pm, having no dinner, I saw him grabbing a piece of bread and ate it within few seconds and came to me at the waiting area, gave me briefing of what he is going to do to me.Didnt even know if he was able to drink water. That is how dedicated he is.Things like that can’t be equated with money, we can’t pay their sacrifices ,their gifted knowledge and skills, all I can give back is respect .We have to thank and respect him for all ,he is doing.
He doesn’t get paid when he is reviewing out laboratory results requested by other doctors being forwarded and copy furnished to him, but still he dedicates his time to read and analyse and I will be surprised that he gives his patient a ring although it is night time already as it is necessary.
What else can we asked for ,from this amazing doctor?
Lots of thanks doctor,I will be eternally grateful for you.

• 24.03.2022Very organise and systematic!
I have auto immune disease and I was referred by my GP to Dr.Ong for colonoscopy and endoscopy , as vasculitis can affect all organs of the body, on the day of the procedure, Dr.Ong considered my home set up after discharge ,supposed to be day surgery only, but with my co morbidities, he didn’t take chances of sending me home alone, he made sure am safe to go home before being discharged.
He is very systematic, he gives a folder which has medical certificate, summary of the procedure and medication prescription, and also has the appointment booking schedule ,all in one folder.Very organise.
The preparation is also very systematic he sends us guideline on what to do prior to the procedure.Very IT savvy I should say, I just google search his name and read pertinent information related to my queries in his website, there is question and answer portion on his website DrAndrewOng.com.au which makes is easier for a patient to know what to do, rather than ringing the reception and waiting for a cue.But one thing good in his clinic the reception doesn’t take too long to answer our calls, they are prompt to answer calls.
When I first visited his clinic, I was amazed how spacious and clean it is,thinking he charges exorbitant fees with all the qualifications ,expertise and nice clinic he has.I was wrong, his fees are minimal, he gains his energy by seeing his patient happy and healthy the best possible way. Isn’t he lovely?
He always extends help, very skilled and amazing doctor.
However ,doctors are also human beings, they get tired too and they get hurt as well, specially knowing him as a life saver, he will take emergency calls even at midnight as need arises. He may look snubbish at times but I fully understood him when I saw how dedicated he is with his work.
He will not do short cut of half done work, he will extend his expertise and energy up to the last bit irregardless if he has an empty stomach or no sleep at all.
Doctors deserves respect, they are our life savers.
