Alistair was appointed Director of Physician Training at Wollongong Hospital in 2013 and later became the first Network Director of Physician Training for the Illawarra Medical Network. These positions allowed Alistair to contribute to the evolution and improvement in medical services across the Illawarra through his passionate dedication to teaching and excellence in health. Alistair continues to contribute to medical excellence through his position as Deputy Chair of the RACP Adult Medicine Accreditation Subcommittee, member of the RACP National Examination Panel, and appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine. Alistair returned to training to gain his qualification as a rheumatologist and is now the only duel trained Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology physician in Australia. Alistair believes strongly in a patient centred approach to care with teamwork and communication critical amongst care providers.
