Dr Alan Gallogly is a General Psychiatrist and Forensic Psychiatrist. , Born and raised in Ireland, Dr Gallogly trained as a medical doctor at the Queen’s University of Belfast. After training and working as a GP in Dublin he developed an interest in mental health and completed his training as a Psychiatrist, becoming a member of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)., Dr Gallogly underwent additional training in Forensic Psychiatry through the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health and is a member of the RANZCP Victorian Forensic Committee. Dr Gallogly prepares medico-legal reports for criminal, civil and family law matters. He also provides assessments and reports for Early Release of Superannuation, Victims of Crime and VCAT hearings., Dr Gallogly is working closely with Healthe Care to develop Australia’s first Integrated Health Program. In time he envisages building a Multidisciplinary Team that will integrate all aspects of your needs (physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual) into an individualised package of care., Following a detailed Mental Health Assessment, Dr Gallogly will map out a journey of recovery for you and involve his team on your terms, according to your needs in a way that resonates with your values., He is a supporter of the LGBTIQ community., Embracing life in Melbourne, Dr Gallogly is a member of Rowing Victoria and when not consulting you will find him, hopefully afloat, in the Yarra and Marybyrnong River.
