About Dr Adnan Younus

Dr Adnan Younus is a General Adult psychiatrist and provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services, working collaboratively with other members of the patient’s treatment team, family and/or carers to optimise functioning and recovery. He has interests in depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, adult ADHD, complex trauma disorder, personality disorder, first episode psychosis and early intervention in psychotic and non-psychotic disorder. He completed his psychiatry training from WSLHD and NBMLHD and obtained his fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist in 2018. Dr Younus is trained as a general adult psychiatrist with specialist interest and training in youth mental health. Dr Younus is a Clinical Associate Lecturer at the University of Sydney and actively participates in teaching and research. He is an accredited supervisor with RANZCP for training of Registrars. He has completed clinical AUDIT in polypharmacy as part of Quality Improvement service at Cumberland Hospital and also has run metabolic clinics at Child and Youth Mental Health Services in Penrith as part of early intervention for psychosis service. In addition to a Visiting Psychiatrist role at Northside Group Wentworthville Clinic, Dr Younus works as a Staff Specialist at Nepean Hospital and Penrith Community Mental Health Services and as a VMO at Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
