About Dr Adam Broad

Dr Adam Broad was born and educated in Geelong before obtaining his undergraduate medical degree at Melbourne University.
He worked in Geelong for one year as a trainee Oncologist in 2002 and upon completion of his specialty training returned with his family in 2005 to work at Barwon Health and establish his private practice.
Adam has developed specialty interests in thoracic, colorectal and melanoma oncology with involvement in cooperative group trials within the Australasian region. He retains a keen interest in cancer clinical research having acted as regional investigator and principal investigator in a number of Australian Lung and Gastrointestinal Trial Group endeavours.
He has co-authored multi-centre clinical trial outcomes in The Journal of Clinical Oncology and Annals of Oncology.
Adam also has ongoing involvement in the training and education of Oncology Trainees as well as the development of access to molecular diagnostics in the practice of Medical Oncology in regional Australia.
He held the inaugural position of Head of Medical Oncology, University Hospital - Geelong, and is a foundation Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine at Deakin University, Geelong.
