This is a note to say thank you, Dr Newman.
On the 1st of December 2019, I fell off the back verandah and suffered a compound ankle fracture.
Dr Newman worked wonders, put the ankle back together and then advised that the ankle be fused; I was very concerned.
Here we are nearly 4 years later, and I don’t think that words can express my and my family’s gratitude for the excellent surgery he performed on my left ankle. It was in such a state. And now, with Hoka One Shoes, I can walk; 19klm in one day is the best I have done when walking in Kyoto, Japan.
Thank you, Dr Newman, he is a great surgeon, but it was a team effort: the medical and Physio staff at Westmead Hospital, Dr Watts, who dealt with the infection, it was a very dirty wound and my GP Dr John Khoury and my wife and family who supported me all the way.
But it does not matter how good these people are you must do the physio and work at it.
